How ranking works

Payments are in US dollars, from $1 to $100,000, in $1 steps. A successful payment becomes that app’s new rank amount.

Paying again for the same Play Store package replaces its previous rank amount. The old amount is not added to the new one.

Top ranks the highest rank amount first. If two apps have the same amount, the one that reached it first stays ahead. New sorts by first listing date and still shows each app’s Top rank.

To take #1 you must finish strictly above the current leader: pay the greater of the $1 minimum or the next whole-dollar amount above the leader’s full rank amount. Your selected payment becomes the complete new rank amount. On an empty board, $1 takes #1. Matching the leader is not enough — they keep the higher spot because they got there first.

Eligible apps

The app must be live on Google Play. Submit the official listing URL on play.google.com. Listings are matched by package name. Other websites, shortened links, and App Store URLs are not accepted. After payment, the icon and details are loaded from Google Play.

Prohibited listings

Unrelated websites, unfinished concepts, fake apps, impersonation, misleading duplicate URLs, malware, deceptive downloads, illegal products, and adult content are not permitted. Listings that stop being a real Play Store app may be removed.

After payment

Checkout collects the receipt email. The selected amount becomes the app’s rank amount only after payment succeeds. The listing then sits at the rank that formula produces, links to the Play Store page, and can be overtaken when another app pays more. Placement does not guarantee clicks, downloads, or Play Store ranking.

Premium airspace

The airplane banner is a separate sponsorship and never changes leaderboard rank. It has a $99 base minimum and runs for up to 24 hours. While a flight is active, the next sponsor must pay at least the next whole dollar above the current paid amount. A flight can be replaced sooner by that valid higher bid. Sponsorship payments and normal ranking payments are recorded independently.
